Vucinic is an immensly skillfull player, on his day he is an absolute beast. My worry is him playing as a LW.

The problem is though, if we get him as a non-champion and put him on the left flank in a 4-3-3 that would be awesome. But getting him and putting him on the left in a 4-4-2(Yeah, its 4-4-2, not 4-2-4) would not be as good.

All I know is that we could need quality players besides Rossi(or Aguero).

Vucinic-Rossi-Krasic could be the staring trio, with Del Piero (where will he play in 4-3-3 though?), Matri and Pepe/Martinez as their subs. There is really no place for both Matri and Quag on the bench.

Or maybe buy Vucinic, not buy Rossi, keep Quag, play 4-3-3 and buy the champion for the midfield (the third man next to Pirlo and Vidal), but who would that guy be? We're not linked to any top midfielder and it's pretty clear from our actions that we're looking for the champion in attack.

I fear that it's a 4-4-2 we're gonna play and Conte is looking for Vucinic as a winger. That is why Vucinic doesn't exclude the champ in attack and that is why we're not seriously pushing for Bastos, Vargas or whoever that could play on the wing. I'd like to think it would be a genius move by Conte, but everything tells me that it's gonna be a disastrous experiment.

Vucinic is incredibly inconsistent and a bit lazy tbh, if we are to play him at lw then our midfield is going to have no balance and Vidal will look awful. We need a hard worker like Bastos or Vargas to help Vidal out because let's face it, Pirlo won't really be doing it.

Eventually. I think Vucinic would move to left wing in a 433 only after Conte fails disastrously with him in a 424.

I know that it would be the best, but my point was that we are not gonna have 4 of Krasic, Quag, Matri, Rossi, Vucinic, Pepe and Del Piero on the bench all the time.

This is what we aim at for the future. To have top quality on the pitch and good quality on the bench for every position. But at this moment I don't think we're in position to handle such depth. Financially we can't and neither we could handle the egos and demands for more playing time when all we have is serie A.

This is why I see one of Quag/Matri leaving if we bring both Rossi and Vucinic.

I won't comment the Quag>Vucinic part. That's about preferences and since there isn't visible difference in qhat they offer overall, it's hard to argue anyone's preference.

As for the other part, I disagree. Not with the fact that Vucinic is inconsistent (because he really is) but with the part that Quag beats Mirko on overall consistency. Come on, Quag is actually Vucinic's biggest rival in "Who's serie A most inconsistent player?"

P.S: If they were both consistent, then they'd have been real beasts. They both play marvelous for 2-3 months and then drastically drop form for the next 2-3 months. If they could keep the good form throughout the season, they'd be amazing. But on the other hand, if they were consistent, they'd have already been in the best La Liga and EPL teams.

The biggest diffenrence between Vucinic and Quagliarella is how they perform in the big matches. Vucinic is a game changer. Quagliarella never will be.
