I don't see the point in this transfer unless we don't sign Quag or Vucinic will be the main signing for the attack. There is absolutely no point in signing Aguero and Vucinic as they both hold similar roles on the pitch. The latter can play out wide, but he's really a support striker, just like Kun. So this leads me to believe Aguero was never the real objective and we are still pressing hard for Sanchez.

Vucinic isn't that good, guys. I know some of the Balkan folks love him, but personally, I don't rate him much higher than Quag. He's not world class and even Serie A class either when you have Ibrahimovic, Pato, Cassano, Eto'o and Di Natale out there. Sorry folks.

And who said he's world class? The question was if we should buy Vucinic to replace one of Quag/Matri.
And you say you don't rate him much higher than Quag. Does that mean you do rate him higher than Quag. If you do why wouldn't you replace Quag with him? Would you prefer Juve to take a huge risk with Quag and his injury?

And for the record, if Matri and Quag were already bought I'd have been against signing Vucinic (unless we miraculously managed to sell Iaq or Amauri for 10m and buy Vucinic for 15m). But neither of Quag and Matri is bought and if the choice is to buy both of them or to buy one of them and Vucinic, I'd choose the option with the Montenegrin because he's imo a better player than them. Perhaps not by much, but still better.

You just don't understand the importance of building an Italian Juve the way Andy does. :D

I consider Vucinic slightly better than Quag, but not enough to justify anything more than 15M for him. I just don't see a point in wasting time replacing certain players when they won't offer a large increase in quality. If we want a class support forward, then Quag can serve as the backup. If Vucinic is what Marotta thinks as a "champion" then we are screwed regardless of who we sign.

I think Quag is in the bag, we already paid Napoli 4.5 m for his loan. It wouldn't make sense now to not buy him after such a high loan fee. He did much more better than Pepe, and if everyone is saying we already bough Pepe with that 2.5 m loan deal, why would be any difference with Quag who probably justified that loan payment in just half a season compared to Pepe who did much much much more worst for a full season?

That's fine, but we here don't know how's his injury developing and we're not aware if there will be consequences. If our medical team says that he's 100% ready to give his best, we're most probably signing him. But if the doctors give pessimistic prognoses, then Marotta will be a fool to sign him, despite already paying 4.5m for the loan.

The last i read Quag should be back before the season start, enough time for our medics to check on him and not to do another "Andrade". But i do see him coming based on his performance, he would be a great choice to come from the bench. Skip Pepe, its frustrating to see a winger who cant cross or dribble a player.

as good as quag was for us this year, between him and mirko, the latter easily wins
My biggest problem with him is his lack of consistency and lack of ambition when his team plays smaller teams.
Just look at his record in the bigger games and you'll see that he scores 1/3 or more of his goals on the big matches:

7 goals against Lazio (derby)
5 goals against Milan
3 goals against Inter
2 goals against Juve
2 goals against Roma (when he was in Lecce)

In CL he scored 8 goals and 5 of them were against:
- 2 against Chelsea
- 2 against Real Madrid
- 1 against Manchester United

It's good to have a big game player, but it will be annoying to watch a Juve player not giving a damn when we play Cesena.
