It doesn't matter if Vucinic is more expensive than Elia because he's too superior to that little bench warmer of some mid-table Bundesliga team.

If we do sign Vucinic and he scores a last second equaliser against Merda, I wonder if Claudio Zuliani will go off like this

:D
I was there.

Great game.

FFS people, a 27 year old player isn't old. He's 3 months older than Lichtsteiner and 8 months older than Inler, yet nobody calls those two oldies.
Hell, he's more than a year younger than Cassano and nobody calls Cassano an oldie.
:agree:

I can perfectly understand people being concerned about players aged over 31, but people are far too into writing people off for being 'old'.

No doubt they would have been dead against Juve pulling off a great move and signing Van Bommel or Milito, like Milan and Inter did.

There's nothing wrong with signing a guy knowing he can only give you a couple of good years, as long as you plan for that and don't keep them too long.

Judge each player on there own merits.

Pirlo and Toni have no pace to lose, so there is less of a problem signing old guys like them than there would be with signing an older player whose main attribute is/was his athleticism (say Juve had looked to sign Gattuso rather than Pirlo).

Sabatini: "Vucinic is a great player, he knows he's important to Roma and I consider him one of our best assets, we'll find a point of balance"

Almost a year younger than Quag. Why should we buy Quag from Napoli? Only 10 months older than Matri. Why should we buy that oldie from Cagliari for 15.5m?

Matri will be 27 in 2 months and Quag will be 29 in 6 months. Why should we buy those two?
It just shows how little people here know. They just talk out of their ass. And yeah, keep dreaming of Aguero you fools lol. Vucinic is a great talent and I would welcome him here with open arms.

says the guy with the most unrealstic bench of every one
we are all allowed to dream/hope for aguero and i don't think vucinic is a good player he isn't better then iaquinta and amauri when we bought them.
rather buy a unproven (in serie a) player with lower wages who is wanted to prove himself like Ruiz :p (or marin) i really rate him

I am against paying huge amounts for players we can't sell in future. I am against paying 15 milllion for Matri too.
You rooting for the wrong black and white team. We arent Udinese, we buy players so they can play well for us so we can be competetive and win some shiny trophies, not farm them til they can reach their best sell date.

Sensible mr Kyle...exactly my thoughts. A lot of people (mainly children or people who have not followed the game or Juve very long) seem to think that Marotta's idea of a champion is Vucinic, or that he could easily choose Vucinic over Aguero or Sanchez, due to his incompetence. I am of a different stance...

Just because Atletico Madrid have to sell Aguero if someone pays 45m, does not mean that its as simple as Juve paying 45m. Its about Kun himself, although from the quotes of the agents, it seems he has left his destination in their hands, likely suggested who he would prefer, and will leave it up to them..to a degree. Marotta cannot make Juve appear like one of the presently leading clubs in the world. Because we are not. And have been faltering rancidly for two years now. That rot that set it could have been avoided, but marotta wasn't here then. he came IN when the rot was already well set into our foundations.

SO if aguero +his agents turn us down, and choose a club like Inter, or AC, or Chelsea, or Man U, or Real or Barca, then I won't be blaming Marotta. Because it will simply be a realistic option for a player in very high demand, who is young, very talented, proven in SPain, and wants to move up from a team who can manage top 7, but never threaten for any true honours. that is called Ambition. On top of the chance to challenge at the very top, there are the financial matters.

better we get Vucinic, lich, masiello/beck, bastos, inler than just lich + Aguero.

    buffon
    lich bonucci chiellini ziegler
    melo pirlo inler
    krasic matri bastos

SUBS: vucinic, masiello, pazienza, quag, de ceglie, barzagli
Thanks, gutterstoner. I should put that as my usertitle.
