I like him but don't rate him as highly as you. However I believe the lack of better midfielders to play with is affecting his game and limiting what he can do.

He gets a pass on chance creation because he has no one to pass to behind the defense. Mario and Higuain haven't made a run in behind since 2015. Khedira and Matuidi get in good positions maybe once a match.

hes the only distributing mid we have, Khedira and Matuidi are btb mids, who when we play 433 often stay high and help Higgy in pressing. you take out Pjanic of the game, whos gonna playmake? its easy for teams to shut us down this way, yet he still manages to make us tick. but you hate him, so you will never admit how good he is
