Yeah, everyone was waiting for him to grow up, make a next step, looks like it won’t happen here. Barca suits him, as long as they have Messi, other players will over perform there
Pjanic’s best season here was his first. I cannot fault him for anything about his 2016/17 season other than his performance in the second half in Cardiff (although to be fair, the entire team was crap, and Mira was rumoured to be injured).

In 2017/18 he was still good, not as good as the previous season but still our best midfielder.

The second half of 2018/19 is where he really went downhill. I suspect that Pjanic’s decline since January 2019 is one of the main reasons why our team play hasn’t been as good since.

It’s not a coincidence that the few occasions where the old Pjanic showed up (3-0 against Atletico, 1-2 against Inter at San Siro) have been the few occasions in the last 18 months where Juve have played good football.

His role as a backpasser? If he's making Bonucci a regista, then he's redundant, no?

His role was clear, make himself available for the pass from a deep role and keep the ball moving. He did his job well and won back possession too.

It's not his fault he is completely wasted and not suited to the role.

Yeah he wasn't as bad as people make out to be, but Benta simply has a little bit more agility and aggression than him in that role which speeds up our play. Pjanic is done at this club and we should cash in on him if we have the chance.

Pjanic row with Sarri in training?
By Football Italia staff

There are reports Miralem Pjanic will be dropped when Juventus face Bologna tomorrow, following a tense stand-off with Maurizio Sarri in training.
According to La Stampa newspaper, there was a clash behind the scenes between the midfielder and his coach.
There had already been reports the Bosnian would be shelved in favour of Rodrigo Bentancur for the Coppa Italia Final against Napoli, but that plan seemingly was ruined by Sami Khedira’s injury.
Now the situation has deteriorated and Pjanic, who is heavily linked with a move to Barcelona in exchange for Arthur Melo, is likely to be dropped against Bologna tomorrow evening.
Sarri is under increasing pressure to deliver the Scudetto and a long Champions League run after losing both the Supercoppa and Coppa Italia Finals.
Cristiano Ronaldo is also said to be frustrated at the situation, unhappy with being used as an occasional centre-forward in the absence of injured Gonzalo Higuain.

Very Nice! Wawaweewah :baus:
