Hasn't Elia's form been openly criticised over the last season?
:sergio:
this is this season didn't we critize barzagli last season too.
he was weak last season but hsv isn't a great club to be right now and they don't have any success
so it is very easy to blame everything on Elia, when clearly HSV had made some strange decisions.

No one is blaming Elia or HSV. It's still a fact that Elia was sidelined several times in a weak HSV side. He could still be a great asset for us, but he still has to prove it.

Difference between Barzagli and Elia is that one has started in three games and showed good form, and with the other all you have is how he did in Germany. Nobody is saying he can't perform well FFS, it's still premature to say he's better than Krasic.

 Krasic just needs more playing time to regain fitness and confidence. When he just last year he'd been playing football at least a year straight I think because of Russian League.

that is why hsv sacked that coach :seven: because he was performing so good and made all the right decisions
oh well, then i guess ranieri, ferrara, zaccheroni and del neri got sacked because they did not give giovinco a chance, right ?

what a female-logic o_O

you always find ways to justify your fanboy'ism

we should buy all bench-warmers of clubs that recently fired their coach, because obviously most of the time the benchwarmers are not at fault, but the coaches.

there is NO WAY a player can not break into a weak squad if he has the right mentality and the needed skills. former is obviously what was lacking for him.

its not like the situation with trezeguet and domenech where apart from domenech probably not liking david, trez also did not fit into the system where they played without a poacher.

hamburg play a system that would benefit elia and vice versa and when a coach looses and faces the axe its ridiculous to say "yeah, he would rather get sacked, then play elia". no one wants to be sacked and lose their job and if elia was remotely showing in training that he would have what it takes to make hamburg stronger, he certainly would have played.
