Is this a joke? What a great time for the FIGC to intervene. Them, and the media took this way too far.

Its racism I tell you, its because he's Serbian.
Racist Italians - are you serious he gets a two match ban for that

If in the game it's a yellow at worst - how about a retrospective yellow card?

Too much corruption in Italian football
How is it racist? Xenophobic maybe but racist?

It was 3 years ago I think, and it sounds impossible that noone dived for PK since than, so much about consistency...

As I said before I will support the rule only if we going to see it applied every week, not every three years. So far it's bullshit!!!
Meh, you didn't get the joke? Consistency =/= banning someone every few years.

Suspending players because of silly diving & cheating is ok with me.
It being done "randomly" isn't however.

There's still hope though. A few seasons ago Zalayeta received a 2 match suspension as well, but that was canceled after the appeal.

What is strange to me is that if it is so easy for FIGC to review video evidence of diving then why don't they start reviewing every game and start handing out bans to players every weekend that have deemed to dive? Be more consistent at least. If you want to fix this ongoing issue of players that dive like Krasic, then make a point to look for it every weekend.

That's what makes it even more pathetic.

I really don't fucking understand this, if a player dives he gets a yellow (That if the referee sees it as a dive)....Fair enough. If a player dives and the ref doesn't see it and whistles for a penalty then the player gets some footage investigation and a two match ban whereas you can simply yellow card him.

:sergio:
That is exactly what I thought. But if you think about it there is some sort of logic behind the harsher punishment. If Iaquinta scored that penalty, we could have gone and won three points out of a non-existing penalty. Video evidence after the match does not overturn the referee's decision. Iaquinta's goal would still have counted for the purposes of the league. A yellow card after video evidence would make sense only if the authorities have the right to undo the penalty.

For us Juve fans this sucks because we didn't convert the penalty last Sunday. So we did not gain anything from Krasic's dive (and it was a dive). A gamble that went horribly wrong.

Which is exactly why he deserves to be banned for 2 games. He got caught and now the entire club has to pay as a result.

Now, our strongest player out against someone we are fighting for to get into CL.

Yeah, but it's a tricky situation. There's 3 possible situations when a player dives:

- Ref sees it & gives a yellow.
- Ref doesn't see it or isn't sure and nothing (no card, no free kick or penalty) happens.
- Ref gives a foul.

It's only in the 3rd situation where the team gains something. In the other 2 situations there is absolutely no unfair gain, so why would the FIGC need to "make corrections" afterwards? (Besides, if you get a yellow card, I don't think you can even be punished again for the same instance.)

So even though a dive is a dive, it does make some sense that there is a difference in punishment. Even if it is unfair.

Edit: damn I'm slow, JuventinMalti pretty much said the same thing.

Unlikely.

If it did, that would mean Krasic can play the Milan game.
No, I meant the result of our appeal will take time, our appeal against the ban.

However, apart from the outcome of our appeal, Krasic will not play against Milan, it's official. But I don't know about the other match.
