Was he 'bought' by Empoli and then sold to Inter in the summer so it didn't take up an EU spot for transfers?
Just loaned to Empoli, it all depends on the registry I believe, as he was registered to Empoli's squad it doesn't matter if it is only a loan. If you think about the Thiago Silva situation, you could buy 15 non-EU players hypothetically but only register the one.

We should Move for Jesus Navas on the right wing, I've said it last year and I repeat it again.. this guy has talent. Pepe and Martinez are shit... Jesus and Krasic are gold
Talent alone isn't enough to succeed. He appears to be sorting his problems out, but still lacks the mind to really move away from home.

Hardball?

They are reducing because they know there is a serious chance of Juve pulling out of the deal to go after Dzeko, not because of tough bargaining from Juve.

A bit harsh, it was always going to come to this but some teams would have offered the extra money.

Marotta had already negotiated well to get the deal at ~16m.

If Juve weren't going for Dzeko, the Krasic deal would probably have been done a while ago at a slightly higher price.

you're wrong, it was hardball...just admit Beppe Marotta's greatness and let's move on.
