CSKA wait for improved offer for Krasic from Juventus
CSKA Moscow have rejected a bid of 15 million euros for Serbian international Milos Krasic from Italy’s Juventus, a club official said.
Krasic attracted the attention of a number of leading European sides after helping CSKA to the Champions League quarter finals.
His agent in Italy was quoted by Sport Express as saying that the Russian club had raised the price for the attacking midfielder “at the last moment.” However, he said talks would go on.
“We didn’t agree on a price,” CSKA general director Roman Babayev was quoted by bobsoccer.ru as saying.
“Why should we agree to the first offer? Krasic is a top player and if we receive a worthy offer we are willing to let him go,” he added.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City have also been linked with Krasic, who is currently in South Africa with Serbia.
In a sign that CSKA seem resigned to the departure of the player, the club is reported to have signed Manchester United midfielder Zoran Tosic.
Sport.ru cited a Manchester United source as saying Serbian international Tosic, who has only made two appearances for the club since signing in 2008, had been sold to CSKA for 8 million pounds ($11.6 million).
Tosic spent last season on loan at the German side Cologne, where he scored 3 times.
