Serbia's World Cup is very like Scotland's in '78.

Lose to Peru.
Draw with Iran.
Beat Holland (arguably the best team in the world), but not by enough goals to go through.

After becoming an independent nation dude...
It's not Yugoslavia nor Serbia and Montenegro anymore..

Technically, they are not an independent nation in the way you think, they are the legal successor of former Yugoslavia, so this cant be considered as their first world cup.

The other nations ex YU countries became independent nations while Serbia always claimed to be the successor of Yugoslavia... in short, you're wrong.

i watched all serbia games and krasic is nothing special IMO
a fit marchionni honestly ... weak finishing ... lively ... thats it

there are many players cant perform in national team but are world class in their club, examples: Signori, Totti...
thats exactly what does make them NOT WORLDCLASS ... even more so, when they play in minor leagues with less competition...

or you could also say that the best player from genoa is worldclass because he is good when playing for the club on that low level

Krasic is a fit Marchionni? :shifty:
yeah... at least according to his appearances here at the world cup.

he is always busy and involved, but no endproduct... insert some typical marchionni'esque easy chance missings and thats pretty much all. finishing is clearly not one of his feats ^^ and his crossing did not find his man as often as it was touted before... and lets be honest ... this group phase of the world cup is not even on the same level of competition that serie a is ...

clown-teams like australia and so on are defending way worse then the relegated serie a teams :p

 Well said.

In fact, even Germany's defence is not as the same level their attack at,Apart from Boating(who didn't play against Serbia) and Lahm(who is a world class fullback offensively nt defensively) the rest are very average,Fredirech is not even better that our sub Legrottaglie,Maretsaeker is not that much and Badstuber is one of the most over-rated players in Europe he made every winger played against him look like Garrinchia, remember Valencia of Man U in CL 2nd leg
