you probably thought he was being sarcastic but in reality he was being truthful..
maybe you don't realize that Juve has less than twice the scudetto's Milan have but Milan have three times the CL titles Juve has.

:lazy:

can you explain the laughter? Did you think Milan had one CL title or something?

On more than one occasion have you expressed your disain for statistics, Nick. Isn't it a bit misleading to say that Juve has less than twice the scudetti Milan have etc? If Juve win one more CL title, our ratio will go from 1/3 to 1/2, and so forth.

I'm not trying to undermine the phenomenal success Milan have had in Europe, but let's be realistic here Nick, you can't really write off Juve's domestic success by expressing everything in terms of "less than twice"s

In answer to that last statement, I think Milan envy the number of Scudetti we have as much as we envy the number of CL titles they have.

like I said try to make sense of offer some sort of clarity...oh f*** that at least something I can understand and then maybe I can respond

P.S. Basically JUVE had about twice the number of attempts as Milan for the CL title (they did not have the chance in every 27 scudettis as it did not exist back then) and in about 17 attempts they won it TWICE
One by PK's ..the other in a match that should never have continued.
And you are comparing TITLES?

KNOW YOUR HISTORY

*cough* CHUMP

P.S. IF I SAY FURINO YOU THINK A COOKING INGRIDENT?
IF I SAY PLATINI YOU THINK A FASHION BRAND??
Thats what I thought :cheesy:

that was not the point...he was throwing stats and titles in my face....I was simply demonstrating that one must be careful because there is a FLIP side to the that coin which can BITE one in the arse.

Again, this rhetorical question sums the matter up:

If Juventus is the best team in Italy, why isn't Juventus the best Italian representitive in European competition? If Milan is the best Italian representitive in European competition, why are the Rossoneri not the best team in Italy?

You can debate all you want but that's just how it is. Can't see how you can infer which club is better than one another with those statistics. Although one could argue that since Serie A is Italy vs Italy all the time, the team with the greater success in that respective nation is the better club. Not sure if I can buy that though.
