Milan to fork out for Ronnie?

AC Milan are reportedly willing to break the world transfer record to sign Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho.

The Brazilian international has been involved in extensive contract talks with the Spanish giants to improve his current deal, which runs until 2010.

But negotiations have come to a standstill, opening the door for the Rossoneri to make a move for the 27-year-old forward.

Spanish daily AS claims that Milan president Silvio Berlusconi is ready to pay the staggering £89million fee that would trigger Ronaldinho's buy-out clause at Barca.

The report suggests that the Serie A giants will start testing the water with a string of bids for Ronaldinho, and if unsuccessful, Berlusconi will match the player's buy-out clause.

It would see the Milan outfit shatter the world transfer record currently held by Real Madrid when they signed Zinedine Zidane for £45.6million in 2001.

The newspaper also claims that the Italians have already reached an agreement with Ronaldinho on a five-year contract worth approximately £6million a year, plus exclusive image rights.

haha

Now when they journalist write about Juve they say "Italy's most successful domestic club", they add the word domestic now :wallbang: And this is exactly why a Juve faithul don't support our rival in CL final FFS. But as the captain once said "some people are just stupid tho".
