I like to point out Barca game was just a friendly, even if I couldn't see the match. It has no bearing on the outcome of season. As a matter of fact, the curse says it whoever wins the match between Juve Vs Milan friendly has a disasterous season, and the loser ends up with winning the title..

Until Milan convince me they have the mentality and consistency to beat Atalantas, Empolis on regular basis, I will always consider them as talented but not a "great team". Winning league is not about winning big matches but not dropping them against inferior opposition. Being great involves mentality beside technical skills.
And as for criticism Juve can't play against big teams. Juve splitted Milan series in the league (and it was officially a draw in CL), held advantage against (Inter, Roma, Depor), and more than matched Real in "both" legs. For a reminder that Juve destroyed Real in Santiago Bernabeau for 20mins after interval. So I don't think it was luck or any freak result that we beat them.. In the end, we have better "match up" against them, just as Lazio has better "match up" against us. So take Lazio aside, and Man U game which was devastated by bug, and should have never been played on the day, Juve faired pretty well against big teams in terms of result. I know the performance was hardly dazzling i.e. Depor matches, 2-2draw with Parma and Roma, but the truth is Juve managed to somehow obtain result despite poor performances. This is why we are always be the "king" while Milan likewise Inter will always remain bridesmaid. Mentality, determination, will to win, and team work is the magic word.

Anyway, I have no trouble with your belief that Milan is better hence I haven't made insulting comment.. Instead, I have merely asserted my views..

Anyway, I don't think we are invincible, as matter of fact, it horrifies me to watch our midfield with many miss-passes, and ugly tackles. Also, I don't ignore the fact that Montero has been struggling against good teams last year. However, we won the league last year, and hence why, I think, we should start the season as the superior team not Milan.
This doesn't mean that I am taking Milan threat likely. You guys will be strong, and I have previously posted that the talent in the team is just crazy and probably the best in the world. Roque Jnr. Laursen isn't world level starter but to see them in the bench or stands is plain sick. To have Redondo, Rivaldo, Ambro on the bench is just unreal. Nevertheless, I assert my belief that our superior mentality and coaching will lead us to another championship.

About Milan being better, I disagree.

Juventus won the Serie A and came in second in the CL
So 1 and 2

Milan only came in third in the Serie A but won the CL
So 3 and 1

Now, I honestly believe that if Milan was the great team you claim it to be (they're good, don't get me wrong) then they would have been able to keep breathing down Juve's neck the entire season up until the very last day of SerieA.

Being a great team (to me) means fighting for the trophee until the very end. Juve did exactly that, Milan failed to do that on one front.

In the end, I think Milan deserved to win CL, with or without Nedved in the final. You have been most impressive in the group-stage, and despite some lucky result and incidence (Inter without Vieri), Milan were far better than us in the final, no doubt.:stress:.

However, in my opinion, winning title has just as special feeling as winning CL. Going through process of 34games, in many conditions, and opposition is just as demanding as winning CL, especially with league like Serie A.

Don't go by those rankings, they're ridiculous. Picture a couple of old men with long gray beards drinking Vodka throwing darts at a big bulls eye with the names of teams on it and you know how they make those rankings.

I just hope Milan will get their act together this season - I want to see a struggle till the end between Milan and Juve like in the early '90s. I'm sick of Inter chasing us, they always self destruct anyway.

When you did the man-to man comparison above, maybe Milan players have the Edge, but when it comes to team work, nobody beats juve.

We had the best attack, best defense, and least loses.

Also, about the Davids-Rino Comparison, i think you underestmate Davids. He works as hard as Rino and is better Technically. Gattuso has much to learn from him.

ok let see, after the season has started, we have beaten parma and then won the Italian SuperCup. And then after the Serie campaign has started, i agreed that both teams start well at first.. but, after a short while, Milan seem like giving up on serie a after they drew with Lazio 1-1 and then lost to chievo 3-2. But, us.. we clearly in different storey, where we were truly being consistent and I definitely believe that it doesn't affect our Champion league campaign even a little.. In the 1st groupe phase I agree that your group were much more harder than us and I impressed on how you dealing with it.. of course, by sacrificing your status as Serie A title- chaser.

and now lets move on to the 2nd group phase.. that's when i thought where football fans get bored with ur defensive minded coach Carlo Ancellotti (sacked by us 2 years ago :rolleeyes: ) where you guys only won 1-0 in straight 4 games and then lost in the hand of Real Madrid and Dortmund.. But Juve.. we struggled a lot and that is when our squad got hit by a flu of what virus i also don't know:rolleeyes: and also not forgetting where del piero got injured about 2 months and Lippi had to change the tactics instantly and we still managed to carry on by eliminating Deportivo .. as i said before, we have lots of confident in ourself.. and we do believe in our own ability and courage.. at last, those pay it all!

lets move back to Serie A, at that time.. we are still the hot favourites to win the league even though we struggle in CL 2nd group phase and not forget to mention that del Piero wasn't there with us. but you Milan were already gave up on the serie a.. by that time, it was just only half way before the end of the season. (yeah, what did ur president said.. in order to win the CL :rolleeyes: )

Now.. in the quaterfinals, we have been said as underdog dan and our main challenge is bercelona where they have break the record of 11 straight wins.. but, what happened was a different storey.. we won against them as we fought only ten men on the field.. still managed to defend and then hit on the break.. all our 11 palyers did show how important the champion league to them and not also foegettung our sub players whom are showing themselves as a true figters. ok, u guys have beaten ajax but still Barca was the favourite to win the trophy but has beaten by us.

now, at the semifinals where we played the defending champion Real Madrid, who has also have beaten you 3-1 at the 2nd group stage .. i don't have to explain to you more as you already saw how did we play.. as a team, creativeness, skills, courage, ability all becaome one. We did show how to play football to the whole world. We were perfect in defense, and also upfront. but you.. you guys were just lucky enough to go to the final.. by not even managed to beat Inter.. remember if Kallon had scores against you, you would definately went out.. totally.. but you guys still managed to hold on.. that was just lucky enough.. And, I still forgot to mention that before our game against Real, we were already became champions once again in italy.

the real thing I regret was Neddy wasn't got the chance to play in the final bcoz of that stupid yellow card. To be honest, I already knew that we won't be going to win the final without Neddy. Him, our best player throughout the season, won't be playing with us in the final. That's the ony thing I regret and I knew it was going to be your day. But still! You guys didn't even managed to prove anything.. You've done nothing! If the penalties doesn't count, that means we are equal.. 0-0. Still we haven't got Neddy with us. I said.. PENALTIES prove nothing! It's just the only way to see which team is going to win.. The only way after there is no way!

ok, you maybe have won the Champion League.. but that doesn't mean you are better than us .. clearly we were the BEST ITALIAN TEAM because of what we've shown throughout the season!

Btw, juve have won 51 Cups in different tournament whereas Milan only have won 30+ Cups since their existence.. which one is better now?

When it comes to Historical success, it all depends on how you rate each CL title.

IMHO, i think Juve and Milan are on the same level. We prove consistancy, yet milan proves superiority over forgien teams.

lets not forget all the finals that juve reached where we didn't win. CL runner-ups should also be considered a bit.
