Guys the situation in France is different. As they owned lot of colonies in Africa everybody who lived inside one is considered french citizen.

We are tolerant. Mostly due to our eating habits, we tend to prefer living among people of the same religion. You'll see a lot of real estate ads specifically mentioning that.
