Alonso hamsik veloso. Although hamsik and veloso can potentially turn out to be WC players right now alonso is the better safer bet.

Who is the better out of those three who is second and who is third
Veloso, Xabi Alonso, Hamsik?
You cant really compare them. Veloso is more of a DM, Hamsik is more attacking but I think the style of Alonso would suit our play the most. Based on pure talent Hamsik is way ahead of the other two though.

Abola.pt (July 29 2008)
[Pretty much saying Juve is offering 15m + Tiago. They said "Miguel Veloso should make his decision within the next week or so." Abola said it could be the offer that Sporting finally accepts, since Sporting believes the player is worth 25-30m.
If that ever happened, then our board r officially retarded.......15 + tiago = no less than 25 million euro  . But to say the truth i won't be suprised if they did that.....

    Juventus Move For Veloso
News daily A BOLA claims Juventus have launched a bid for Sporting midfielder Miguel Veloso...

The Portuguese international is one of the most sought-after players in Europe following an impressive season at José Alvalade.

A host of big names is understood to be monitoring his situation and La Vecchia Signora have now stepped up their interest in the 22-year-old.

According to reports coming from Portugal, Juventus have made an offer of €15 million plus Tiago for Veloso, who had a release clause of 30 million euros attached to his contract.

Tiago endured an indifferent season at Stadio Olimpico after moving from Lyon nearly a year ago and would relish the opportunity for a new challenge to find regular first-team action.

Although Sporting coach Paulo Bento is believed to be a fan of Tiago's qualities, the Lions are baulking at the player's current salary at Juventus.

Sporting are willing to do business for their star following Veloso's constant statements to the press in which he has repeated his wish for a challenge abroad.

I dunt think Alonso is a safe bet, Hamsik is accustomed to the league so logically he should be the safer bet, when we are expecting so much from Giovinco i dunt think that kinda expectation cant be expected from Hamsik. Alonso on the other hand is good but he is from a different league and we all know what happens to the previous Spaniards that tried their luck in Serie A. Both ways there are risk, but Hamsik has lesser risk unfortunately Napoli is in a position to turn down bids up to 30 million nowdays.

I watched Veloso once in a game for Portugal in the Euro qualifiers and he seemed decent. I remember him taking a lot of set pieces for them. I'm still not convinced as yet but wouldnt be surprised if he went big

I am really desperate to see what the fuss on Hamsik is about. I missed both our games with Napoli and the only game of theirs I watched was the Pato debut game where they were torn apart. What is it about him that's making him the talk of the town? His passing? work rate? Shooting ability? Who can he be compared to in terms of style?....

Then lets hope that Napoli are relegated this season and that way we can buy Hamsik and bring Pierpaolo Marino to replace Secco. ;)
