Might as well start talking about a new keeper... (10 Viewers)

No need to talk about Cudicini because Chelsea is not going to give him up for the one-thousandth time. He is their backup keeper, perhaps the best backup in the world, and Chelsea will not dispense of a player like that unless they don't need him. Every club needs a backup.

I hope Moggi brings us Pagliuca.

Bologna’s Gianluca Pagliuca would also be another excellent objective for the Old Lady. He would be an ideal short-term replacement and a cheap one. He may now be of a certain vintage but he was superb last term despite his club’s relegation to Serie B. A move north would also allow the former Azzurri No 1 to keep his hopes of beating Dino Zoff’s Serie A consecutive game appearance record.

Pagliuca will do an excellent job, IMO.....

TBH, he could still be the number 2 for the Azzurri

Lets see him beat Zoff's record in a Juve jersey !!!!

I think Pagliuca is awesome. (e.g., Guerin Sportivo editors ranked him as Serie A's player of the year last season.)

My question: would he even consider the job with Juve? I suppose we could catch him in a "if you can't beat them, join them" moment....

Not arguing with you Greg, amico mio, OK?

But if he's that good (and I have no reason to believe that he is not, obviously), why would he accept a (hopefully) temp job here?

Don't get me wrong--I hope we can get him. :)

it all depends how much he wants to beat zoff's record. He cant do that in Serie B, and does he really want to play in that division anyways ???

I am getting excited thinking we could get him.....even if he had to play half the season for us, I think we can do as well.

Now that I am happy about possibly getting Pagliuca, Moggi wont get him

    No argument taken, Lou.

I do like what's being said here, which makes sense to me. Pagliuca is definitely in the twilight of his professional years. I have to imagine (and hope) there's still a major drive in the guy to get back to CL/Scudetto-level achievement before he bows out. It's been 15 years since he tasted that at Sampdoria.

Latest rumour is that Milan will let go Eleftheropoulospapadopoulos and could join Juve for free.

He's Milan 3-4 choice and now we want him to be our temp. starter? :|

    Storari is better IMO.

Carrara. Just like the marble Michelangelo worked on. ;)

There's another famous Italian keeper from there too... like Cudicini. I forget who though.

Actually, I wasn't thinking of another keeper -- it's Cristiano Zanetti.
