Javier Ernesto Chevanton is a young Uruguayan forward, who I think would do well in a trequartista role as well. He has been at Lecce for a few years and has continually been their best player. This year has really seen him take off. He gave Juve all kinds of trouble before Christmas, and he completely dismantled Reggina yesterday. He has been consistently good over the first 17 matches, and I think the revelation of the season. Single best player? Maybe, but I agree that Totti is tough competition so far.
Thanks for that! He sounds like the kind of player the transfer period next summer could be all about. I'll keep my eye open for him!

As soon as you said it, Soccerage.com is reporting that Roma are keen on Chevanton. I would love to see him in bianconero, but we need defendes first, especially now with injuries to Ferrara and Birindelli.

Roma? That's a serious threat. Roma are becoming stronger with every opening transfer window! First Chivu and now this lad? Moggi better follow things closely, he might have to respond very fast.

Despite the effort, mikhail, we don't really need statistics to figure this one out :D

Ofcourse it's Totti :) Totti is Roma and Roma is Totti. Without him (see Coppa matches) Roma is simply not the same.

Another great players are Sheva who was simply devastating and the young Brazilian Mancini, who has certainly surpassed all expectations (especially his ex-Venezia coach who used to constantly bench him when at loan there).

    Totti and Scheva.
But Padovano, mentioning Ernesto Chevanton you schowed you have a really good serie A knowlenge cause this guy is really rocking. Of course playing in Lecce is not the same as playing 4 a Roma, Milan and Juve so he do not have that mutch spotlight but keeping him away from his team contest he is really close to the big names.
Mancini, Kaka are surely who went ahead the expectations 4 their first serie A year. Fava also impressed me in a good way.

Chevanton has been linked with Juve half a dozen times the past couple of seasons.. but that's all.

It's easy to keep up. Where I live, the Serie A coverage is outstanding, if you are willing to pay for it, and I am (and I do).

Actually, my family is from Padova, but I live in the USA. I put up the Padova badge in my avatar because my surname is Padovano. In the USA, I get RAI International and Gol TV for my Serie A matches. How is the SKY and Gioco coverage? Do they broadcast any Serie B?

Isn't Rai International free, though? I lived in the US for a year and - guess what - it was the year when Juve won its second Champions League. I remember watching the final on some american channel - the commentators were just sooooo american.

I think I did somewhat contribute to educating my american roomates to the great game of "sawka", although Im afraid most of them still can't tell you the difference between Marco Van Basten and Hakan Sukur..

Yes, having both of them you can broad cast any match you want!
And infact that's why serie B is also played on monday and friday to have a bigger TV coverage. Also when is in the same time of serie A it is broad casted, cause every match is in a different channel. So if 4 example you wuold like to see Padova, you will be able to see every match of tham ;)
I don't usually follow serie B too mutch but this year with Palermo, Cagliari and Fiorentina having teams with players who are IMO better than some serie A teams I look at some matchs.

    P.S.: so many Italo-American in Juventuz.com :)

When I lived in the New York area, RAI was free. Now I live in the South (too few Italians here), so I had to buy a satellite system. RAI is only $10 per month, but to get it I have to subscribe to the $60 per month package. Anyway, Gol TV shows more matches than RAI, and Gol now comes in at no additional cost.
