The open source community is in a state of shock this morning at the news that Microsoft has released a version of popular browser Firefox.

The audacious move, which pretty well guarantees Redmond control of the entire browser market, will be received with dismay among those who previously believed that the might of Bill Gates' chequebook could, and should, be resisted.Naturally, Microsoft has made some improvements to the product, and the new features offered to Firefox fans include...

    Well the link they provide is not working...

    I would investigate more, but I am at work and don't wanna get into trouble :p

    a) www.msfirefox.com is a joke site.. if it gets back up, you'll see why..
    b) the register is somewhat resemblant to the onion, last I checked. satire, if you will :D

    I would like to see MS release their own version of Firefox, just imagine... GPL code from Redmond, how crazy would that be. :D

    Technically, they can do this right? But their pride wouldn't allow it...

    Well, it's not just that.. they'd have to release their source code as well, and that's definitely not gonna happen ;)
