I agree with Boksic...he did some good saves but how can anyone have a go at this keeper when he has gatti and kelly in front of him with locatelli defending in midfield and two fullbacks who are better in advanced roles.

Under motta buffon in his prime would have been average.

If City want him - No problem place a 60M price tag and if they are stupid enough we can replace him with an equal level GK for half price or even use it all and get an upgrade.
He is a good GK but he is more a Peruzzi than a Buffon and while Peruzzi had his time - he was just a good GK not a great one.

A good signing who in a different situation could have been great. Unnecessary to sign a GK last summer, but if he stays for 20 years it'll look like good business.

No shade on him at all he's been one of our best performers.

(I still don't especially like him tbh)

TBH Im not impressed but Im not disappointed either. He saves what needs to be saved (shots to the middle or shots near him). He isnt performing extraordinary saves IMO (even when the commentators compliment him its usually a shot that pretty much was directed at him.)
Commanding the area - He is doing a better job than Woj in this regard. He is still not Buffon of course but who is..

Honestly like I said before my comparison for him is Peruzzi who was good although cannot be named in the same sentence of our GOAT GK.

He is doing ok in a team that have players under-performing players (apart for 2 or 3 players) and he is definitely the least of our problems but for City money - I`d sell him in heartbeat.

It’s march 2025 and people still arguing if his saves were good vs if his saves were great.

I’m here still waiting for the mythical good with feet skills we were told was absolutely necessary reason he was signed

I am not joking

Osman, Daniel and Juvejay told us that aside from wages for terminating woj and spending money on di gargoyle was for his ball playing skills being important for motta system.

So I’m still waiting to see where are those ball playing skills

he let in 7 goals in 2 matches. but you know whats worse than that? still 0 goals and 0 assists. remember we were told he was signed for this.
You can say "still 0 goals and 0 assists" but this guy could be the first goalkeeper to win the Ballon d'Or since Lev Yashin. Buffon and Zoff could only come 2nd.
I think we have a gem on our hands. Don’t you feel teary-eyed just thinking about this?

I know Lion is joking but Im unsure you are.. In any case D.G is a good GK not an amazing one but not a horrible one. Pretty much what we paid for.

He shouldnt be in our worries as we have at least 7 players to improve on before looking at him
