8 months has passed since I was told this signing was necessary because of the following reasons:

He is good with feet
He is massive talent and 25 m fee is no brainer
He is needed for system of motta

That’s what I was told by scholars like Daniel, JuveJay , Gordo, Osman, and Xperd among many others.

And yet so far none of us have seen any instance of any of those reasons to justify the signing.
You are definitely smarter than the individuals named :agree:

Seriously watch the goal again. The ball was headed straight at him and this clown dived underneath the ball.
I've watched it a few times and still not sure what you mean. The ball ended up high in the net, he'd have to be 6'8" to be straight at him. Retegui's basically point blank in the six yard box when he heads it.

I agree with the feeling about him not being commanding or making right decisions around the area. Different keepers do different things. I don't like this modern style of keepers, personally. It's like goalkeeping is only 50% of what they are expected to do. You see the same with defenders who need to dribble and pass and they are worse at actual defending than years gone by.

I don't agree with the apparently absurdly high standards his shot stopping is supposed to be, like we signed the next Yashin for "25m". He's getting blamed for goals that I'd be surprised if any keeper could save. Really weird, even ignoring the obvious hyperbole. But I suppose everyone becomes a target when you're struggling.

Way to totally miss the point and be tone def man. I don’t understand how someone smart like can be like this.

The point isn’t it’s on just the keeper. It’s that 25m could have been used from beginning in a much more needed position like a back up striker. Does it make sense to go into the season with one striker or 4 goalies?

I’m tired of having this discussion with you people. Halfway through the season the squad is completely broken, the goalie has done Fuk all to prove he is deserving number one spot and you guys still don’t want to admit you’re wrong. You can’t even tell me the results prove me wrong.
I don't think you can keep saying "25m" and "4 goalies" and then act exasperated that not everyone shares the same opinion as your pure facts lol. It's not about intelligence, just differing views. Mine is that I'm not totally convinced by him, and I'm not by many players we have signed so far, but I don't think that's really a surprise when the team is struggling. You have your style and I have mine, only you know when you're being serious.

He just looks like he isnt confident...the defense is disorganised, and vulnerable...anything that comes in from a cross isnt defended properly. You can just see forwards find the space they want and you see our defenders out of position. It is a shitshow down back. Not saying DG is great and shouldnt be doing better, there have been times where he should be flying at some of these crosses and he isnt...but everyone knows when you have uncapable shit defense in front you as a keeper...it fucks with them.

look i understand where you are coming from, but i don't care about confidence or command of area or communication.

i was told this goalie is good with feet. i was told this was vital reason for signing him

i have not seen any play making or assists or goals. so where was what we were promised?

Are you suggesting that we need a 5th goalkeeper?

Don’t let the win distract from the fact he still hasn’t shown the mythical good with his feet skills he was signed for.

Remember this was main reason he was signed
