Impressed with him! Many times, peasants will look at goalkeepers who can make flying epic saves and jizz over them, thinking that it is the only metric to determine a good goalkeeper.

yes, mdg has highlight reel worthy saves in Monza. But in these three games, he has also shown that he has been able to communicate with defense to prevent dangerous situations. Gatti looks awesome now.
id argue communication is a primary job of a goalie, and it was a weakness for Tek that always bothered me. I dont think it was a coincidence they allowed fewer goals when Perin played. Its what I loved about Buffon, he was screaming the entire game. Di Gregorio brings it. He really does give Peruzzi vibes.

But in the end, no mattter what, the terrific goal line saves, the clean sheets, the celebrations with fans, no matter the success, even if he becomes a Juve legend, he will always be remembered here as the 4th goallie.

It is what it is.

why he was benched though? any info? I dont like Perins passing...
Because we will have a hectic schedule coming up with CL? Vs Empoli is good chance to rotate.

Perin will mainly be a coppa italia goalie but that doesn't start until January. So it's good opportunity to rotate now vs a minnow.

Lame excuse. Shouldn’t the goalie play all matches to get used to the team.

Imagine paying 20m for supposed best goalie because is he is god with his feet and having him on bench.

i guesss Club didn’t need him after all. Otherwise why didn’t he start ?

For someone considered to be a good ball playing goalkeeper, he looks pretty uncomfortable with the ball

Yes, i mean maybe not uncomfortable, but I expected better passing. Especially the long passes, but that's maybe partially up to Dusan out of firm failing to fight for those passes.

Hi mother in law, it takes two players for a pass to complete. A sender and a receiver.

How do you expect the GK to complete passes when:
- defenders are uncomfortable to receive short passes under pressure
- target man is a immobile statue

Sadly, this notion of playing out from back sounds fan-pleasing, but requires all 11 players to sync. Having one vlhahomauri is enough to make it fail.

Do you wear the same clothes every day?
Didn’t think so. In that case don’t slate Motta for not playing the same GK every game.
