Ah, must have been one of those fake quotes from goal, where there's no inverted commas but they're sure it's true.

Juve want me, says Bastos

Lyon’s Michel Bastos has admitted that it would be impossible to turn down a move to Italian giants Juventus.

Speaking to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Brazilian intimated that a summer switch was a real possibility.

“Juve want me and no player can turn down the Bianconeri shirt,” the 28-year-old noted. “We’re talking about one of the top 10 clubs in the world.

“They have Gigi Buffon, the best 'keeper on the planet, and Alessandro Del Piero who is a symbol of Italian football.

“There is Milos Krasic too, a new star of the European game.”

Bastos, who has been linked with a number of Italian clubs in the past, also dismissed claims that he is angling for a move to Barcelona.

“I was just asked a question about what club I would like to play for and I said Barcelona,” he added. “There is nothing strange in that.

“Who wouldn’t want to play in Pep Guardiola’s team? But I’d be a luxury reserve at Barcelona, while at Juve I would have a chance of a first team shirt.”

Bastos does seem to be the kind of player who the Turin giants would need given that he can be fielded as a left-back or as a left-winger"

Too soon to tell but i can't see it happening if we don't make CL, plus he's just being professional with the reporters respecting clubs.
