does playing for ur NT really increase ur worth by that much?
If its the Brazilian NT then yes. The least Lyon would ask for is an extra 5 millions over what they've paid for him last season (around 22-23 millions). And any half-brained person would know that we will definitely not pay that kind of money for a fullback.

So to sum it all, its just a bullshit rumor nothing more. Your free to still believe this BS story or not....

If we raise funds through sales we could offer that much, I believe.

He wouldnt be worth it, he is good/decent, but there are other as good or better options. I thought Lyon slightly overpaid for him (by few millions), and he has been inconsistent for them to boot. Not worth more then what they got him for at all.

Hehehe. I would say the same thing about Bastos as he does, when it came to Lille. Its a different matter with him in Lyon. But yeah either way, 18m as it was bit much for him, even if they bought him for direct competition. He is defenitely not worth more.

Things aren't that simple am afraid, just yesterday i'd looked at the club's financial report:

http://www.juventus.com/site/eng/NEWS_newseventi_BB25688739A04562BF9B8EA95BEFB644.asp

And i'd done a quick fundamental analysis on these numbers (thats what i do for living) and realized that our books aren't as " impressive" as many here actually believe. The club already borrowed an extra 15 millions to cover up loses that we had this year. last year we were almost 6 mil on the positive and even before the beginning of our transfer campaign this summer we were 5 millions in the red.

Still nothing too serious about these number but to suggest that the club will pay 40 mil on players like Dzeko or 22 mil on someone like Bastos is a bit naive IMO....

He played LB.

And no he wasn't, he was actually quite shitty. Vulnerable, exposed, and targeted by opposition because he is in no form a European fullback.
That's because he isn't a fullback. Sure he started out as one, but he became the player he is right now after he started playing as a winger.

Let's hear what Fred has to say about him.

Osman is right, he has been really inconsistent for Lyon this season. Overall he has had a somewhat decent season, but he hasn't really rised to the expectations set on him and he hasn't justified his price tag. Most importantly he hasn't been able to emulate his form at Lille.

He was one of the best in the Ligue when he was at Lille, and practically carried that team on his shoulders. I still think he's a good player, and imo he is better than Juve's current wingers, but is he worth the money Lyon will ask for? That's the real question.

Btw, are you Marko? The Croatian member? If you are, then welcome back mate, its been a long time :)

Ofcourse he is better then our current wingers, but also costs double of what they do. And he isnt worth that price with other good options around.

And I'm not sure if its that Marko guy, but his current username is funny :D

Exactly, as things stand right now, i'd be reluctant to go for Bastos if i were Juve. Personally, i want to see how he does this season before passing judgment on him, because after that season he had with Lille, i was convinced he can make it at the top level.

True.

He wasn't that good for Lille as a fullback either, thats why they shifted him to a more advanced role.

“Michel is a very important player for us, but our philosophy is that we always listen to someone who is interested in our players,” confessed Lyon director Bernarde Lacombe.

“It all depends on the offer. Would Momo Sissoko or Vincenzo Iaquinta be included? Why not? We’d have to evaluate the wage issue first, as we’re trying to lower our salary budget.”
