Elia is more tricky and a better dribbler. Even if Bastos was twice the player Elia is (which is not), Elia would be a smarter move. Elia is 24, Bastos is 27, Elia's price is around €8m, Bastos's is around €16m. You can have around a minimum of 5 good years of Elia, while you can have a maximum of 5 good years of Bastos.
