MAybe this will calm some of you down...

EXCLUSIVE
Fiorentina are making a late move for Chelsea forward Adrian Mutu.

The Serie A club hope to clinch a beat-the-deadline move for the Romania international, who almost joined Juventus earlier in the month.

After being told by owner Roman Abramovich that he had a key part to play at Stamford Bridge, Mutu opted to stay and fight for his place when Juve came calling, but he has made little progress in his bid to get into Jose Mourinho's first team.

"The news about Fiorentina's interest in Mutu is true," his agent Andrea Pretti told skysports.com.

"We are waiting for indication from London about their possible acceptance to allow him to leave and about the conditions regarding negotiations with the Italian side.

"Coach Jose Mourinho and Peter Kenyon are having a meeting at the moment and we are awaiting news about this."

Mutu could accept the chance to return to Serie A after previously shining for Roma.

"The player gave his disposal for a long time," added Pretti.

"I hope, in the next few minutes, the situation could be unblocked.

"Chelsea's officials are talking. They probably have to look for a new solution to replace Mutu.

"Anyway, we are confident the situation can be unblocked soon."

omg, this sucks. but considering the late splurge, it makes sense that miccoli maybe on the market. but that just takes us back to square 1.
