No he hasn't. Ranieri used the 4-3-3 with Parma and sometimes with Valencia.
Meaning that the majority of his carreer he did not use 4-3-3. Also with Parma only rarely did he play a 4-3-3, only in the last few matchdays. With Valencia always 4 in midfield, if not 5.

Might it be wishful thinking on your part? I have often noticed you being a fan of 4-3-3.

Oh boy, that would be such a disaster. We couldn't possibly use Almiron in midfield without having one destroyer next to him. The guy is limited defensively and if he was responsible for most defensive work in midfield that would really kill the player's effectiveness.
Don't look at Almiron, i only used his name because i needed a CM.
The point is we can't play 4-3-3 with Camo and Nedved, as you rightfully said, but even if we do that we don't have proper players up front to be successful with it.
We'll have to use Iaquinta as our target man and i can't see what more he can offer than Trez on that position.

At his time at Chelsea he used a diamond formation most times. It'll be interesting what he has in store for us.

Of course I'm a fan of the 4-3-3 and hope that Ranieri uses it. In Valencia he used the 4-5-1 a lot with two attacking wingers, which could be considered a 4-3-3... just depends on the situation. Using three up top doesn't necessarily mean three strikers..

And of course it's wishingful thinking... Ranieri could even be fired before the season for all we know.

I don't like the sound of Iaquinta speaheading our attack whatsoever. He doesn't have the consistency to be the goalscorer we count on like Trezeguet.

Depending on who we'll sign in the coming months, that should give an indication as to what sort of formation Ranieri will tinker with.

And i used the 4-3-3 formation in my teams, and everyone says that it was too offensive .. hmmm :).

Pozzo, patron dell’Udinese, ammette: "E’della Juve, penso che abbia firmato"
Lippi: "Iaquinta gran colpo"
L’ex ct: "Ottimo il giocatore e pure la persona".
Di Natale: "Basta lanciarlo..."

Im sure a Proper goal scorer will follow. These aint our BIG signings yet. Just useful players to change the game if needed. If they think (Which im sure they dont) That Iaquinta will be the main guy??? My god are we in trouble. Trez will go and Camo could follow. I say swap deal for Malouda/ Tiago eg..........

Then use our cash for the rest Mid/Defenders.

Milito / Senderos/ Gilberto??

Got a feeling Makelele could be pursuaded as Ranieri was the one who took him to Chelsea.

Guys need to chill the hell out man. Im sure some good players will come. We cannot rush these things. Im sure this will drag on til the last hour of this summers transfer window. Cobolli stated that we are going for 3 BIG signings. Which im sure Iaquinta ISNT one of them. But if he is. I'll Slap that bitch in the face personally!!!!

so i guess this means no huntelaar or gilardino?
if we have these 2 we cant waste any more cash on strikers we need CMs and CBs. cause currently our defense is crap and is definetly not serie A material

If Iaquinta was the big signing Buffon would not have stayed.

I keep telling myself this and hoping it is true.
