New In Flames is pretty damn good

missed that they have some new material, thanks. if you like them, check this band too:

wow, that's some nostalgic and modern shit at the same time. this band is full of ex in flames members, and while they didn't recreate the legendary jester race record, their record is more "in flames 2022" than in flames themselves. good stuff despite the obvious in flames references.

still using my good old focal elear (with clear pads, so elex basically)

are you looking for headphones? what's the budget and the source?
    Nice.

Not in the market atm, got a pair of Dali IO6 and they’re territic for my needs. Never thought I’d like a wireless closed headphone this much.

hmm, never heard of this dali. i'm familiar with some of their speakers so i imagine this might be actually good.

on an other note, dutch sometimes get it right: i liked gorefest back in the days, i listened to some early gathering, some ayreon, within temptation have a few hits too. and here are these guys:

sounds like old school thrash with a touch of modern thick tone. the first thrash metal record i'm looking forward to hear in a while

and an other nice thrash record i didn't even anticipate:

these guys never change, most consistent band of the last 30 years probably

    I'll check em out.

Read up on the Dali headphones, seriously impressive if you're looking for one set of headphones for home + commute + work. A bit steep pricetag imo (around 300EU), but since it merges together all the headphones you'd need I actually think its ok.

not that i like it, i can't get a grip on their songs. just like with periphery, some riffs stick, but i never got to like any of their songs. i still have to admit the vocalist guy is special:

Im not sure if I like it either tbh. It sure left an impression - especially the vocals which are WTF stuff. Id like to see some footage from recording and production to see what went on.

On a separate note, is Corey Tailor turning into Steven Wilson?

got a ticket as a present from my brother so i went to see rammstein live the other day. i don't listen to their music a lot, i think if you heard 3 rammstein songs you heard it all, so i didn't expect too much.

as a show it is unparalleled. fucking loud, sounded great, stage and effects looked incredible. now i understand why the stage is rumored to take a week to build. music was all right too, simple yet effective for such a venue. it was a bit cheap because it only relies on your instincts, still fun.

looked like this from a few districts away lol:

3 very different new records maybe worth checking:

cattle decapitation is some nasty shit

    curve never flattens
    when the population fattens

haha, not sure how funny it is for a native speaker, i love it
