For all the innovation Ronaldo and Messi have brought, I just want this era to end, just for the sake of making football more even again. This Messi-Ronaldo nonsense has gone on for too long, its like a show that's jumped the shark and got boring.

This was by far the best goal I've seen Juve concede.

If one of them wins WC, it will be Pele, Maradona, and that guy (CR7/Messi).

Ive always leaned towards messi in this argument but I'm really starting to favour Ronaldo, both GOATS, but I think Ronaldo edges him
it's incredible how Ronaldo turned it around the past 5 years, before it was obviously Messi, but now Ronaldo's titles and his importance in the team speaks for himself

Let's assume we got Ronaldo instead of Salas, how long would he have stayed? Four season? Five?
Exactly 3. We were supposed to get him in 2003 and in 2006 we all know what happened.
And no way Ronaldo would have stayed.

That's why it's no difference if we got him or not.

at least we would have one CL. and what's to say he wouldn't do what Ronaldinho did at Barca, which is raise the whole level of the club and how they view themselves.

18yo Ronaldo would get us the CL? He wouldn't even start probably.
We went down at the worst possible time. Youtube was created, everyone was getting internet at home, Barca was extremely lucky to have that freak player at the right time. While others capitalized heavily on the new media opportunities we were involved in that mess in Italy.
