lol "bully" :p I think a lot of it is overreactions/made-up stuff from the press, I don't really believe he's going around making his teammates cry & calling them names.

But I do agree he's not as humble as some would have you believe, he's definitely got a pretty big ego & there is occasionally "tension" between him & the other forwards.

Cool story bro.

Messi fails at his NT where as Ronaldo leads the line.

Ronaldo would do well against italians, where as messi got himself marked out of the game, save that disgusting return leg against a pathetic milan team
Messi has benn scoring all around him in the qualifiers for Argentina, and is leading scorer in the South American qualifiers.

The main problem with Argentina at the 2010 World Cup was that they didn't have a great team overall, and they had a crap manager.
Messi actually played a decent World Cup, and was unlcuky on numerous occasions not to score.
Granted he was disappointing for his high standards, but people think "Oh he didn't score, he was crap".

2006 World Cup, he was 19, coming off an injury, and was mainly used as a sub, and played brilliant during his appearnces.

If Peckerman left Riquelme on the pitch, and brought Messi off the bench, i'm convinced they would have beaten Germany in the Quarters.

how is that messi's fault?
Exactly, how can he be blamed for that?

Yeah, I think it's a myth that he does crap for his national team. He was pretty creative in a mediocre Argentina side during the last World Cup, not scoring a ton of goals doesn't mean he wasn't playing well. If I recall correctly he played with the flu during part of it as well.

The Germany game was the one where Messi was playing while recovering from flu.

Tevez scored two goals in the 2010 WC, Higuain scored four goals, Messi had five assists. Like I said he was more of a creative force than a goalscorer there. Still an important player for that side.

People look into stats to much. Lampard is having a terrible game pops up to score 1 goal grabs all the headlines about how great he is etc. He was good not great at the WC in 2010. I hate the way people rate players solely on stats alone. Every one said he flopped when really he didn't.

I agree, stats can be useful but can also be misleading. For example, Maldini would look like the shittiest player ever if only his stats were taken into account. I believe he only averaged around 1-2 tackles per game, but it wasn't because he was poor at it, but because his game was as such that it didn't require him to do so very often.

Same with Messi, people say he flopped because they expected him to score a lot of goals, but he still contributed well in most matches even when he didn't score. Even when there is a stat to prove this (his assists tally in 2010 WC) it's ignored by some.

I can totally understand if someone doesn't like Messi for various reasons but I don't understand that particular argument against him.

wait what, 2010 ?

A BAD TEAM ????

argentina was fucking stacked, and with that attack alone they could have done massively3.

However, the retarded cokefart decided to put messi in the center behind tevez, where he sucked and didnt do anything really

argentina will never win another worldcup as long as they are favorites

jesus, just look at 1998, so horrible

Off topic a bit, but did you hear that Maradona said wants to coach Napoli one day? I can't wait for that day. And the napoletani have their heads stuck so far up his ass that they probably won't care if he ruins them.
