As a fan of the Portugal NT, I am one of Ronaldo's harshest critics. But then when it comes to Messi, he hasn't exactly set the world on fire for the Argie NT either.

But watching a match like yesterday's Euro 2012 playoff... Fans in Zagreb may have chanted "Messi, Messi, Messi!", but I have yet to see Messi come close to the dominating performance for his NT as Ronaldo did yesterday.

Take Messi out of the Barca start line and replace him with Sanches - you will have a worse side but still the best team in the world atm (sadly) . Take Ronaldo out of Real Madrid and they will struggle alot.

Thats not an argument, that is based on speculation. We've actually seen Barca without Messi performing without major problems and we've seen Madrid without Ronaldo - they are a mess without him.
