Its the right decision and I am quite confident we will, eventually, reach a deal for Locatelli. The player's strong preference for Juventus being the main reason.

However, I don't see Locatelli as a Pjanic alternative. I would like both with Locatelli playing B2B.

Pjanic isn't much to get excited about but he is a better option than Arthur, Bentancur or Ramsey for the position. It feels like that same old situation of signing an ageing player on high wages, with zero resale potential, but we could use a stopgap option until either A) ESL cash rolls in or B) Ronaldo leaves and we can get the wage bill under control.
