Imagine if Juve lost their entire central defence to injury and bought a player from Serie B for €2m and a 20 year old on loan to replace them.

Meltdown on here

BTW, are Schalke trying to get relegated?
Better than a 36 year old veteran CB. Most here are sick and tired of old players that they were willing to welcome the likes of frabotta. Kabak has promise, it's a good signing especially as it's a loan with option. Dumb move by schalke but maybe they gave up on this kids discipline and rash decision making. Mustafi suits schalke better, they needed someone with experience and I think he will do well.

Demiral was on Alexis. Alex Sandro is the one who was easily outpaced by Barella and gave up his run prematurely.
Demiral wasn't dealing with Alexis very well and Alex Sandro tried to get the ball off him but in the end it looked like they confused one another. He was outpaced because Barella had all the momentum of running onto the ball whereas Alex Sandro was coming from the side after going towards Alexis. I'm not saying he would have won a sprint against Barella but it is very difficult to win a race when one person is starting at full speed.

Really bad first half, really good second.

Needs to sort his head out a bit and lower the unnecessary agression. The yellow he got was an absurd tackle to make and it conditions the game.

He clearly has the tools to be an excellent defender except for this temper, the new Pepe. Not ready to be a starter, but will hopefully be soon. His role is the proper dimension for now.

Monster!!!

He is a young Chiellini in the making and we have to do everything we can to keep him here long term. Saved our result with that block on the line and probably would have cleared that shot Darmian had if Gigi missed it.

Those doubting him are crazy. With more experience and a bit more calmness in certain moments, he has all the makings of a top class no-nonsense CB.

Defensively a great game, wish he was just a bit better on the ball. Didn’t make any big mistakes, but those obvious passes were leading to a easy pressing game for Inter. Sometimes a defender should be able to reach the strikers.
