Roma winger Diego Perotti commented on Zaniolo’s injury following last night’s game.

“The pitch at the Stadio Olimpico has never been good, it isn’t one of the best in Serie A. There are always holes, it’s not a good pitch,” Perotti said in the mixed zone.

“It certainly has influenced the two injuries in the game [Juve's Merih Demiral and Zaniolo].

“For Nicolo, who is a very young important player for us, it will be a huge loss, but we will be close to him and he will return.”

that's the rumor. season ending injury.

fucking hell, we simply can't catch a break with all these injuries.

meanwhile he left j-medical, didn't look too happy:

Didn't even read the rumors, it just looked like it. They usually go together in these incidents.

He will bounce back though, should be ready for the start of next season. The silver lining here is that it effectively removes the possibility of Paracitey plusvalenzaing him during the summer.

No way we were going to sell him. The only silver lining I see is that at least it happened closer to Chiellini's return.

It wouldn't have been the strangest decision from this management. Chiellini isn't going to be a factor until March - so we have to pray that Bonucci and the octopus stay fit.

R9's career ended in the same pitch at exactly the same spot in the stadium. Roma must be fined massively for creating a hazardous enviroment
Is Roma responsible for maintaining Olimpico's grass tho? I think it's the City Council's job. Roma themselves have been hurt more than anyone by this.
