yeah...that's the same i want to say.

IMO, for long term success, we must find some young talented players, to start re-build the crappy defensive line. the scouts seem didn't get the job done the last few seasons.

tell me if i am wrong, juve seldom bring any young defender from their own youth team.

No there is only Piccolo and Cassani who is quite talented from Juve's own youth team, i dont know were they are right now.

When it comes to rebuild the defense, well the time is not right for it since Juve hasnt done it, i mean its not just to buy Mexes and Ferrari and think that will be like Montero-Ferrara the next 10+ years. It is a very complex job, and with Thuram, Zambrotta and Legrottaglie, then the time isnt ready yet. Chiellini is a great brick in the future defense plan though.

I actually believe Cannavaro would be a good short term solution, the key part being short term. He culd probably help us this season, especially if paired up with thuram in the centre, but we would probably need new cbs next season. If he wasnt too expensive I'd get him, if for nothing else, because there arent any good young defenders available.
Full agree, and Kompany isn't even near world class right now!!

noup, he could last 4 seasons IMO, but we need to do the change in somepoint anyway, and Canna is just too expensive to be short time solution...

And I'd go for Squillaci or Kröldrup instead of Kompany right now...

Yeah, but Inter wants about 6M euros, and thats a nice price, plus Cannavaro has said earlier that he would cut down the wage if he was to join Juve.

Source?!

I doubt that they'd let him go that cheaply, after all that would leave them only Cordoba, Materazzi, Burdisso and Mihaijlovic as CBs, that's even funnier than our defense...

a couple of days ago.

They was willing to let him go to Real for 3M Euros. Probably they are open to sell him because of the high wage he has.

I meant that "lowering his wages" part...

And Dominic, surely Cordoba is class, but Materazzi isn't... Burdisso will never become anything in Inter and Mihaijlovic is a laughing stock...

Well Mihaijlovic is a disgrace. So I won't count him.

But Burdisso certainly is talented and already quite good, we will see about him. Like you said Cordoba is good. Materazzi makes mistakes and isn't that good, but he certainly is better than LEgro, Tudor etc. in their CURRENT form.

I read that Luca Cattani, the journalist of Mercato di Telebombardia was seen Moggi in Milano, probably because the Cannavaro-transfer. It could be official soon.

or could he be merely shopping for gifts??

i really dislike it when news sources make stories up, from the basis of a certain person being somewhere...then create a magical story around it.

John, the Gazzetta dello Sport reported seeing an 800-pound gorilla walking aroung with his schvantz in his hand and concluded there was a party at Padovano's house. It turned out to be completely false.
