Roma have a new defender in the form of Costa Rican international Gilberto Martinez. “We’ve given him to Roma on loan,” said Brescia chief Gino Corioni. “The player deserves the move.”
I'm sure Roma is an improvement over Brescia, but I used to like this player. :disagree:

well another transfer saga is concluded, not too popular to most of you though. niko kranjcar has signed with portsmouth, he was linke with numerous clubs during the summer and before, allegedly even juventus, but he has now finally signed with portsmouth who continue to build a respectable side for the premiership.

Kranjcar set for Portsmouth

Thu Aug 31, 11:40 AM ET

ZAGREB (AFP) - Hajduk Split's Croatia midfielder Niko Kranjcar is set to join English Premiership side Portsmouth on a 4.5 million euro (5.8m dollars) four year deal.

"I have decided, I am leaving. I can't stand the pressure any more. I solved everything," Kranjcar told the Sportske Novosti daily on Thursday.

"We are losing a great player but there was nothing we could have done," Hajduk Split official Tomislav Erceg said.

Kranjcar began his career at Dinamo Zagreb in 2001 and only a year later, while still a teenager, was named club captain. In 2005 he moved to Hajduk Split.

The 22-year-old is the son of Zlatko Kranjkar who was sacked as Croatia coach after they failed to make it out of the first round at the World Cup.

everyone knows he's got the talent, now he just needs to take care of the mental aspect and the physical condition, and he can become a great player. good luck niko, you're gonna need it. :D

i thought the Rovers were the ones who wanted to hang on to him. They rejected the liverpool offer.

Anyway i saw the chelsea game and they didnt deserve to lose that way, but he was playing at LB and he should be playing at the Center imo.
