I'm intellectually innocent? How about you open your eyes to your own hipocrisy? Don't blame Marotta for hiring Del Neri if you aren't giving him credit for Conte. Aguero was far fetched to being with, the only mistake Marotta made was that he talked about it. We're nr. 1 in the league and you want to fire our Sporting Director? are you kidding me?!

Are you daft or do you not understand English? Anglettere? I never said he should be fired. I said he was never fit for this job in the first place. And it is hypothetical discussion coz he wouldn't be fired as things stand.

I can't help but feel that whoever I like has been responsible for any good things that have happened and someone I don't like has been responsible for anything that has gone wrong.

You said he shouldn't be offered a new contract.

or tweak the team thanks to his ability to actually sign big names that would make the difference in a competiotion like the CL.
Ok, but this is where the flaw in the argument is.

This team as currently constructed was not built to be competivie in the CL. It was built to get to the CL in the first place.

Therefore, we don't know what marotta or any other DS will do once the team gets into the Champions League (Hopefully)

And as far as signing the big names, you and I both know that it is very difficult to attract the so called "big names" when the team is not playing Champions League football.

It seems you and I are in complete agreement with his illogical stances

Marrotta actually said Agnelli hired Conte. I'll try finding you the interview. And please don't credit it with irony that Marrotta hired DelNeri immediately a season after qualifying for the champions league with him at Sampdroia. You don't need Einstein to tell you that working relationship had something to do with it. Even if not entirely the only read on. Common. Jesus.h.Christ.
Well, in that logic, AA hired both Marotta and Del Neri. I don't see you bashing and calling for a new president.

If we get CL next year, Marotta's job will be much easier in bringing top players. Not just from having the money but actually having the competition that players want to be in.

If we win the league...all the better.

Charlie makes valid points. There are other mitigating circumstances that add to or detract from Juves buy power. CL being one of them

A few tweaks is all we need to be competitive in the CL imo, another class CB (Hummels\Benetia), reliable LB and a WC forward or two. Our midfield is already beastly adding Radja would make us even stronger in that compartment.

I don't think Marotta is competent enough to make such tweaks...he isn't experienced enough and I'd rather get someone that is a lot more imposing and confident of himself. I appreciate the work Marotta has done for us on his second season but I don't think he can help us evolve into a even bigger team.

Yep. Marotta's big test is whether he will be able to bring the player that gives us a step in quality.

And I'm hoping that this player will be Jovetic.

So was last years :D
I think our first year in Europe is going to blow hot and cold. And I don't think we will get a star on the rise when we do get into the CL.
Marotta isn't half bad, but he isn't that great either. In all the commotion, most people aren't willing to settle for grey.

I'm not judging him one way or the other.

All I can do is look at the results on the field in the 1 1/2 season that he has been in charge, and so far, taking into consideration the 1st half of last season, and the 1st half of this season, it hasn't been bad at all.

the 2nd half of last year completely went off the rails, whether it was due to injuries, or the players no longer listening to the coach anymore. But those players that were part of that 2nd half disaster were also a part of the 1st half of last season that looked promising.
