I feel this one will work out for us. Never liked the guy, but he is older now and still has a point to prove.
Same here, hopefully he has matured and the Juve environment might be able to help him find the balance he needs to go on and be successful here, i start with my expectations quite low on him due to his character and injury history(knowing how we deal with those) but got to admit that he could turn out to be very useful here, we need players that can score, create and that can keep opposing defenders busy and on their toes, Depay fits all of that tbh so i perfectly understand why we are after him, even more so given he is a market opportunity and without transfer fee, or anyway an extremely low one compared to what he can bring to the team if everything goes well.

I don't mind this. He's not worth 7 per season but since he's free and on a two years deal I think it's a good move. Not a huge fan but tbh I'd easily take him over Morata. If he turns out to be good, and chances are decent, we can extend. If not just let him go and it's not like we are losing much. I say do it.

However I gotta point out I really dislike us getting social media whores.

Nah, he’s unwanted at Barca and we’re by far his best option. Should be the same contract as he’s getting now at 5m.
Ideally I'd agree but it's an unwritten rule in football sadly that some of the money saved from a free transfer goes to the player.

If his agent didn't get him a pay rise in this circumstance he'd be a pretty useless one

I don't mind this to be honest, more depth for the left and an actual decent backup striker, he'll get plenty of games over the season, he was pretty good for barca last season, in a shit squad. 2 years is good too
