I don't think that is the case. This team needs 5 CB in a 3 man backline. To me, it all depends on the price, if it is a good price, then I won't complain. Especially when compared to some of the prices out there being thrown around in the EPL right now for players that, on equal footing are nowhere near as good as Benatia. I think Rugani will definitely get space, as will Benatia
Our next transfer IMO. If he stays injury free, would be a fantastic signing. Still "only" 29, which is a good age for a defender, especially in Italy.
We need 5 CBs and I want them to be quality. No more Ogbonnas or injury prone Caceres. Benatia would be amazing and he'd eventually replace Barzagli as or starting CB anyway.

I was thinking Barzagli might have lost his place to Rugani by the end of next season anyway. Guess that might be Benatia instead, but there'll be enough time for DR regardless

of course i will, he will be too. Hes gonna get enough starts anyway. Its not like Barza and Chiellini start as much, as they did previous years. We have seen it, how things can go wrong, after Chiellini and Caceres got injured, we even played Licht as rcb and Evra lcb few times. Juve is the best place to grow for Rugani and cement his place as a first option at club and Azzurri. I give it max one year, before he overtakes Barza at Juve and national team.
Barzagli is retiring and Ventura won't change system. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, he's primed to take that spot. He'll get his chances with Juve. We'll see the same Juve spine in WC 2018 except no Barzagli this time.
