Camoranesi Recovers From Injury

Mauro Camoranesi has handed club and country a massive boost after a miraculously fast recovery from injury.

The winger had only just returned from a long spell on the sidelines and looked to be working his way back to fitness after scoring the equaliser in Juventus’ 1-1 draw with Inter last Sunday.

Unfortunately the 31-year-old then picked up a new injury and seemed certain to miss both the Bianconeri’s trip to Parma tomorrow and Italy’s crucial do-or-die Euro 2008 qualifier with Scotland on November 17.

However Camoranesi has recovered in record time and is set to play from the first minute in Juve’s clash at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

This is a big boost to boss Claudio Ranieri, who admitted earlier this week that Juventus are a different side with Camoranesi in the team.

Azzurri Coach Roberto Donadoni will also be delighted to have the ex-Verona man available for next Saturday’s trip to Glasgow.

I read in the match thread Camo had a decent game today. I'd love me a detailed report on my man's performance... someone care to fill me in since I missed most of the game? Appreciated.

Go Camoranesi. You can do it.

He did pretty okay. Which is more than I can say for Il Capitano, Trezeguet or Nocerino. We always looked a tad more dangerous on the right flank with him around, and with that frantic pace in the midfield his excellent first touch was essential to holding onto possession. There was little end product though, but I suppose he can't be expected to do it all himself. It certainly wasn't for a want of trying though.

any one catch the italy - scotland game..Camo was great and he wasn't playing the midfield but in the attack of 3 forwards with Toni and Di Natale..he was great winning the ball against the defenders and great attacking..

maybe ranieri could use him in that position he was great today

To be honest, he was anything but great.

Camo is fu*king great. We always play better when he`s on the pitch.Every team could use player like him.Too bad that he`s kinda injury prone.
Actually he is not too injury prone.

2002/03 Juventus A 30 4
2003/04 Juventus A 26 3
2004/05 Juventus A 36 4
2005/06 Juventus A 34 3
2006/07 Juventus B 33 4

In 5 seasons he missed 27 games. That is 5 games per season. Pretty good, no?
