Yes, the media have been saying so for days now...I'm watching Studio Sport as I type this & they are saying there is only a 1 year contract extension being offered to Mauro, & that if he doesn't accept, then La Juve will move for Van Der Vaart. I prefer Rai for transfer news, they're more solid but we'll soon find out on Mauro & Pavel.

Il manager di Mauro Camoranesi, Sergio Fortunato, è intervenuto a Marte Sport Live su Radio Marte, come riferisce NapoliMagazine.com, chiarendo i termini del rapporto tra la Juventus ed il suo assistito.
"Quando c’era Moggi - ha dichiarato all'emittente campana - ci eravamo accordati per trovare a Camoranesi un'altra squadra. Dopo la retrocessione in B le cose sono cambiate. La Juve, intelligentemente, ha lasciato andare via i giocatori con i contratti più onerosi, insostenibili per il campionato di B, e tra i big in rosa aveva conservato quelli con il contratto più basso, tra cui Camoranesi. Del resto qualcuno avrebbe dovuto restare per riportare la squadra subito in A. E' stata una mossa logica che Mauro non ha apprezzato e ha detto alla società che, dopo aver vinto un campionato del Mondo, non aveva motivazioni per giocare in B ma non è stato preso in considerazione".
Adesso andrà via? "Stiamo facendo una trattativa, in realtà lui ha il contratto per due anni qui alla Juve, quindi se lo hanno fatto rimanere in B possono farlo restare anche in A. Bisogna trovare una soluzione che lasci tutti contenti. Da parte del club bianconero si tratta di aumentare un po’ i numeri, in quel caso il giocatore vuole restare. Iaquinta? Sappiamo che la maglia della Juve non è una maglia qualsiasi da indossare per ciò che rappresenta nel calcio mondiale. CAMORANESI - Nel tardo pomeriggio di oggi il d.s. della Juventus Secco incontrerà Sergio Fortunato, il procuratore dell'esterno italoargentino, per trovare un accordo. Il contratto di Camoranesi è in scadenza nel 2009 e Ranieri ha fatto capire di voler continuare a puntare sul giocatore, che ha ricevuto offerte anche dall'estero. Per questo motivo la linea della società si è ammorbidita e ci sono buone possibilità che Blanc accetti la richiesta avanzata da Camoranesi di un aumento dello stipendio di circa 300.000 euro, con un allungamento del contratto fino a giugno 2010.

We all want Camo to stay...but it's still only a 1 year contract extension no matter which way you look at it. If the new contract lasts until 2010 that equals the 2 remaining years on the existing one +1 year extension...or is the Grappa I'm drinking doing my brain in? From all Camo's agent seems to be saying it must be the money thing that's the real problem rather than just the 1 extra year...
Camo demands pay rise
Mauro Camoranesi’s agent has insisted that his client will leave Juventus if they don’t increase his salary.
The Argentine-born winger has been in contract talks with the Old Lady, but had already made it clear in the past that he wanted a larger pay packet before putting pen to paper on a new agreement.
“We need to find a solution which pleases all parties. The club needs to increase its offer, in which case Mauro would be happy to stay,” stated Mauro Fortunato in an interview to Radio Marte.
“After the demotion to Serie B, Mauro wanted to leave but he was blocked, so it is logical that he wasn’t happy. He had just won the World Cup, he did not have the motivation needed for that level.
“Now there are negotiations underway, although we must remember that he is contracted for two more years so if they blocked him last season they could do the same now.”
Meanwhile, Pavel Nedved had a meeting with the club management this afternoon, but failed to find an agreement with the Serie B champions.
“I am very disappointed. I still don’t know what I will do, but I am considering the idea of quitting football,” said the former Czech international.
