I think his 'change of mind' comes from that he finally feels appreciated and feels like a star of the team. In the past seasons he was often (wrongly) overshadowed by other (less performing) stars at Juventus. He's now found his place and he's continuing the prove that he's worth his starting place, directing poor Marchionni to the bench.

Camoranesi praises Juve fans Thursday 5 October, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mauro Camoranesi has praised his relationship with the Juventus faithful. “It has always been true love,” insisted the flying winger.

The Argentine-born ace made no secret of his desire to leave the club in the summer after the Old Lady was demoted to Serie B.

As a result he was booed by the Bianconeri supporters during the first home game with Vicenza, but these problems now belong to the past.

“In reality it has always been true love – the supporters’ reaction during the game with Vicenza was the proof that they wanted me to stay,” said the world champion.

“The fans did not appreciate my summer statements and proved that to me by booing, but then realised that I am glad I stayed and want to give my all for this club.

“Now when they applaud it feels even better. It’s just like when you fight with your girlfriend, it’s nice to make peace.

“Our supporters are very close to us this year and playing in the new Stadio Olimpico is amazing – it is smaller than the Delle Alpi and you can feel the crowd much closer.

“The stands have been packed until now and I hope that will continue. I want to see a sold out stadium and hear our fans cheer us on until the end,” concluded the former Verona man

:agree:

But that is not good for Marchionni.

He came as a reinforcement in the club and now he is sitting on the bench until
80th minute.

Yes. If Nedved and Camoranesi remain fit, Marchionni's starting appearances will likely be limited to starting against the weaker sides only though.

If this were Capello at the helm, Marchionni would be screwed. But under DD, I don't think so.
that's just right ... he'd be as screwed as Blasi was last year .. Marchionni will have more than his chances ...

He has always been a very temperamental player so this latest outburst should have been expected...but things are back to normal again so no worries

I think that he is loyal to us and will not stab us in the back. He knows that we have lost a lot of key players and is stayin to help us this season. He WILL stay if we get into Serie A next season, which is possible. I dont agree that he didnt get the offer he wanted because he had a lot of good offers and players would go for any contract to not play in Serie B.

All I have to say is a big FU to those who talked so negatively about Mauro over the past couple of months. To deny the huge impact he's made with Juve as well as the Azzuri over the past few years and somehow paint him as anything other than a national prize is criminal.

THE REAL JUVE FANS HAVE ALWAYS LOVED YOU CAMO!

The whistling little wankers from weeks back don't deserve to wear the bianconeri colors.

FORZA CAMO! FORZA JUVE! FORZA AZZURI! :agree:

Camoranesi ends goal drought Wednesday 11 October, 2006

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mauro Camoranesi is celebrating his first Italy goal in two years and reveals why they stuttered in the first half.

“It was about time I scored, as I hadn’t in about two years! I always try to get into the area, but more often than not either miss or the ball doesn’t reach me.”

The Juventus midfielder last netted at international level in the 3-1 friendly victory away to Holland on November 12, 2005, but broke that drought in Georgia just seconds after the home side had Kankava sent off.

“The red card and the goal within two minutes was a heavy blow for Georgia. I believe it made their heads drop and we made the most of the situation.”

Roberto Donadoni fielded a 4-2-3-1 formation in this 3-1 victory, but Camoranesi reveals there were problems in the first half.

“We had difficulties on the flanks in the early stages, as Simone Perrotta is used to cutting in and I don’t so much, so we clattered into each other. We discussed it at half-time and moved much better,” explained the Argentine-born midfielder.

“In the second half Massimo Oddo, Perrotta and I were more in tune and you could see the difference.”

The Azzurri are World Cup holders, but were insulted in the Italian media after Donadoni picked up just one draw and two defeats.

“Criticism will always be poured on to the Azzurri, it’s just something you have to accept. We are aware of our strength, especially after these two wins, and must focus on the task at hand.”

Camoranesi was given a starting spot, but Juventus teammate Alessandro Del Piero was surprisingly left in the stands.

“I know that Del Piero had a tendon problem, so perhaps the media should ask for more information before making assumptions.”
