I know it’s only pre season but I’m still as unconvinced by sarri as I ever was if not a tiny bit more sure he will fail, I hope I’m wrong
If you are aware it's only preaseason, what makes you a bit more sure he will fail? Only few friendlies so far, players gelling and adapting to new methods. I cant draw any conclusion so far and prolly we wont be able to, before 15-20 competitive games. I am as always, cautiously optimistic. :p

I too was worried by some of our play in the friendlies but its just WAY too early to tell and we have played just as bad in friendlies under previous managers.

But it seems to me that Sarri's system is so unique and different that it will take a lot longer for the players to get on top of that's for sure. My other worry is to the extent to which other managers figure out how to exploit it.

Gonna squeeze this post in before the flood of negativity flies in:

I recall many matches with Max where we dominated possession and lost to teams that literally scored their only shots on goal.

Calma - pointless preseason game. Get the fitness in, no injuries, start learning tactics.

We will be fine.

Judging Sarri is yet to come ....

But positives tell now:
First half ball movement were really sweet to see

Negatives
Balancing attack and defense is key issue we need to solve

Once we concede we are losing our heads

preseason means nothing at all. if anything the preseasons where we are awful seem to be the ones that precede the best seasons

preseason means nothing at all. the first month of the competitive season means little as well. if anything the preseasons where we are awful seem to be the ones that precede the best seasons.
