He’s not our guy let’s be honest. But I don’t really blame him, we have way too many underperforming, injury prone and/or untalented hacks in this team.
:agree:

Management hasn't properly supported any of our last 3 coaches in terms of building a team that has CL winning strength in every part of the pitch. Don't get wrong, our management has been brilliant in building a powerhouse... but now they need to stop the opportunity signings and focus on more specific improvements to the team or they will set up each new coach to eventually fail.

Wont blame him for the loss. Our best player in the first half came off injured, and Cuadrado got a deserved red.

My only issue was him putting Can on instead of Rabiot, but even he got better as the game went down.

Is Sarri the best coach for us? Probably not. But that doesn’t call for a meltdown after a defeat against a very good team.

here is my issue. This team, 3 months into a new system, appears to be playing worse than when we started the season. That just doesn't add up.

Agreed. As I said, I think we'll have a clearer idea at the midpoint of the season. We have a few tests left before then, so here's hoping for the best.

Swapping Cancelo for Danilo and Spinazolla for Pellegrini were solely on him!
Also Rabbiot and Ramsey instead of a proper starter material CAM

The midfield was butchered by Marotta overtime. We spent money De Ligit because our defence began to show its age as well. Yeah we should have bought some midfielders, but the problems in midfield were created by Marotta in the first place.

So true, 1 great signing> 10 mediocre signings. We are no longer at a point where freebies and cheap options will improve our team.

Sold Vidal for cheap, and gave away Pirlo and Tevez.
The last two were old and retired soon. Not replacing Vidal was a mistake. But Fabio had a chance this summer to do something in the middle and the best he could come up with were Rabiot, mediocre player and injury prone Ramsey...

I'm trying not to bash him. I said my peace about him in the summer and at the start of the season, but the results have been coming in, we played some nice games against stronger opposition like Napoli, Atletico, Inter, we were undefeated in all comps until now... and this Lazio team is a very good one, with players who have been playing together a long time, under the same coach's system, and in fantastic form right now... so this specific loss isn't the end of the world. There are certainly worrying signs, and he needs to fix our sloppiness on the pitch, but he deserves some patience right now... I think the next 4 rounds and supercoppa will tell us a lot about the direction of this team. Sampdoria and Roma away, Cagliari and Udinese home, and Lazio in the supercoppa. Some good tests in there. And we're actually in need of results so there should not be cruise control. Fingers crossed.
