Suppose this all boils down to us buying too many mediocre players. We should try buying 1 top player/season or possibly pushing 2 depending on revenue. I once heard someone from Bayern (not wanting to keep going on about them. But using them as an example) that they were buying 1 top player/season with the added youth. But this was around 5 years ago or so. You add up all the wasted money shall we say on average-good players we've bought and do the maths. Probably no wonder Beppe is struggling to offload these players or sell them on the cheap as half of them think they're better players than they are and refuse to join the Genoa's & Lazio's because they've played for Juve. Even if it takes another couple of seasons, it'll be worth it I think.
