He never lifts his head up. He has no clue where his teammates are.
Exactly, he never looks up before crossing, just puts the ball in a predetermined area if he manages to beat the defender and connects well with the ball. That's mediocre player qualities. How people argue about injury and lack of form is beyond me. Also rubbish when defending.

Wasted his two best crossing situations by taking a touch instead of putting in a first time ball.

Would have been relatively easy to play a first time ball on both occasions - low across the edge of the six yard box behind the defenders and into the path of the arriving Juve players - but he took a touch and allowed the defenders to recover their positions.

Taking the touch meant he actually had to put ina very good cross to create a chance.


And it was really weak defending from him at the back post against Morleo on that headed chance.

He always takes a touch because his head is never up!

He has to take a touch to settle the ball then look up, then the move is over. It happens in every section of the pitch, even in midfield where it should be easier to have vision.
