Mattia Perin spoke in the post-match of Juve Benfica:

EVENING WITH MANY SAVES – «We are in a very difficult moment, we must acknowledge it. We must talk little and work hard. We accept criticism because we deserve it. There is only one way to overcome this moment, to all unite together, form a group and continue to work. I don't know any other ways».

WHAT DOESN'T WORK - "There are many players who have played many games. We have 6 defenders out since the beginning of the year, at a level like this the physical and mental energy is a lot. Those who have played many games are suffering from this situation, it's human. We have to find a way to overcome this moment".

HOW THE CHANGING ROOM IS GOING – «We told ourselves that the only way out of this moment is to be even more together, work harder, encourage each other to create a positive group inside and outside the locker room that unites us».

JUVE'S FIRST PROBLEM – «If I knew, I would have taken note of it and told everyone. There are many players who have played many games and are not used to it. Playing with the Juventus shirt is tough, playing every three days is even tougher. It's not an excuse but we have to deal with reality. There are expectations because we are at Juventus, at the moment we are showing that we are not up to it».

FEW HIERARCHIES – «Realistically, not only those who wear the armband are captains. The coach rewarded Weston because he does everything for the good of the team, he makes himself available at all times for the team. It was a reward he deserved. To be leaders and captains, you don't need the armband, we know who the points of reference are. We have to find the right way to get out of this moment, I don't know any other way to get out of it other than hard work. Talk little, work hard and pedal».

FRAGILE JUVE – «In the second half, technically, we did very well. We didn't find the net because of our own fault, but it's not a question of fragility but of compacting ourselves even more. But that's the beauty of life. We deserve the whistles, they hurt us because we are human and it's up to us to turn the laziness in our favor. It's a moment of growth for everyone».

i like perin, down to earth dude

i get it, so we're tired. it makes some sense as many players were forced to play a lot due to others' injuries. in that case, train better, eat better, adapt tactically to the situation: slow down the game, run less, defend more compactly, foul more, save energy, rotate better. just do your job better as a group

Mattia Perin: “I think we are missing leadership. The problem isn't technical, it's character and attitude. We didn’t realise how important this competition is and how important the semi-final was. To play at Juventus you only enter history by winning trophies. At the moment we're not up to that standard.”

I do think some of Empoli's penalty he could have done better. I saw the penalty kick and already felt Kouame will hit left (Perin's right). And the one with Ferguson low center also, it doesnt seem that Ferguson foot movement can direct it to the left. It's either center or right, but Perin guess and dive to the left (is this because he watched Ferguson's penalty video against Fiorentina?)
It seemed easier to guess here when watch. But it might be the player didnt ready for the penalty either as its very surprising Empoli can hold to a draw away

We've lacked experience and leadership for years.

We had Rabiot as our most experienced midfielder for a few years. Now Locatelli.

The switching of the captain speaks volumes.

Another fail from Toli not to bring in experience and assess the balance of the squad.
