Why both Szczesny and Perin don't come out to clear crosses in the 6 yard box? We conceded a lot of headers, it's depressing. Our goal keeping coach should be fired.
Really amateurish.
Modern GK don't just wait on the line, heck even GK in the 70s didn't do that.
For fuck sake that was and will always be GKs' ball and they need to clear it if they don't learn that ciao, arrivederci un nuovo portiere per favore.

What is your view if Donarrumma is available on loan deal should we sign him

Agree. 6 yard ball, on the first goal.
The GK has to come out. He is at fault together with bonbon.
The GK is actually protected in that area, so he can almost do anything he wants to reach the ball, as any interference by opposing players would mean a FK.

A back-up keeper on 7m a year salary? We are not PSG lol
this wont be the first time, we many ramsees in our team. We committed many mistakes that will take their toll, donna will take his prime salary, a sce level subber would earn 3-4 anyway. the more we are starting to rid our selves from ramsey contracts, the easier it will get.

I disagree. Very few GK in the world would have done something in that ball, it was a perfect cross

Not a chance, I doubt even the most rushing keeper tries to come out for that.

It's made out as if the ball came across laterally and was always within his reach because it ended up in the 6 yard box, but no keeper comes rushing out when the ball is whipped into that area 30 yards from the byline and ends up there. It was a perfect cross that the defence has to win. If Perin was already stood in that position then he gets it of course, but then he'd be in the wrong position to begin with.

Should be no complaints about Perin today! Of course wasn't involved much but made save on the shot that needed it. Other crap is nonsense that MUST stop because even Donna wouldn't stop them. Looked okay out there and confident. Both not what Tek has looked of late. Starts again for me against Chelsea.

was it impossible to punch it away though?
Not impossible, in the sense that he could try to predict where the ball might end up. But it's very unlikely because it's a guess, so rather than risk someone heading into an empty goal it's a percentage play where they have to put in a great cross and header to score, so the keeper protects the net first.

When someone puts such a good ball into that area between the keeper and covering defenders you need to hope your defender gets a touch first. Yoshida v Bonucci in the air is no contest, unfortunately. But where were the other guys? Samp had two or three players running into the same area.
