Storari was signed for nearly 5 million back in 2010 at the age of 32, with no chance of ever being a #1.

Is a max deal of 15 million, 8 years later, for someone who is 7 years younger that much of an expenditure given the exponential increases in transfer fees?

And something else to consider.

What if Woj gets injured, or worse yet, succumbs to the pressure of being the #1 now, having to replace arguably the best to ever do It?

Without someone of very good quality should either circumstance occur, we are truly fucked as a club without someone like Perin.

We have to replace the greatest ever, so why not stack the deck in our favor, and see how it plays out.

Storari was never supposed to be a mainGK, just like Perin isn't considered that. 32 isn't really old for a keeper while somebody of Perin's age is rather silly to come and warm the bench here.

What if Woj gets injured? Oh man, and what if half of our team gets injured of somebody gets murdered? Perin is injury prone if anything.

Why do you care about Perin's interest more than Juve's?

It's Juve's interest. Hell, I wouldn't mind if we signed Roma's GK and made Polak our second GK... BUT... if GK position was actually a thing of concern. We should set our priorities right because other positions should be looked after rather than spending money on a young GK which isn't even needed here.

I agree with Dusan. That 15M could make a big difference in upgrading higher priority departments.

If we can still get that top CM we need, then this would be a good signing.

This thread really is just a rehash every single summer. Don't buy this player + this player + this player and we can have unrealistic dream player.

15M is fine because his valuation will go up. As always it's a decent investment from Marotta.

The only thing I'm worried about is Szczesny becoming unsettled. But as an investment, it's pretty much a no-brainer.

That doesn't matter, we pay all our signings like that and are still paying this year for previous years' purchases
As soon as we sign him, he'll be worth more than 15m on the books. There is no major loss. It's not a signing preventing us from signing X player.

The club is adding cover to a position they're not 100 percent sure about. If Szcesny can't do the job the for whatever reason then there is someone solid to take over. It's a easily understandable transfer.
