Agree 100%. We need another CB, and getting him for free (or a small token fee) vs Manolas for 45 million+ is a no brainer really.

I don't rate Benatia much and he is also an injury prone and since we adopted 4-2-3-1 system we play with two CBs.

Rugani was fifth choice when he first arrived here so I expect the same from Caldara. I think bringing him early is a good move. Chiellini Barzagli and Benatia are injury prone so Caldara is needed for depth. Rugani being fifth choice early on was fine for his development I think Caldara will be fine and who knows he might get a lot of time if our injury prone defenders are well, injury prone.
