Only after Danilo was outrun and Rabiot wasnt intervening can De Ligt react, otherwise hed create chaos. MDS is too close to the winger where Cuadrado also is and too far from the middle. Pellegrini also too far from Orsolini, leaving Chiellini and De Ligt 2v2. Front collapsed too easily. There is many things you can point to before blaming De Ligt

Chiellini plays Arnautovic first if you notice, then he starts running towards Orsolini at the same time as De Ligt. If De Ligt doesn't come out, I don't think either Danilo or Rabiot close down Soriano soon enough. Again, many things to point out before you can blame De Ligt

He picked up Arnautovic before MDL movement. Again, they started movement almost simultaneously. Chiellini leaves Arnautovic and goes for Orsolini a split second after De Ligt moves

If MDL covers Arnautovic than for sure, the only option for Sariano is to shoot then or turn around to pass back

If he doesnt come out, Soriano comes at them with the ball. See above screenshot, no one is picking him up. I know you like shitting on on De Ligt, but there is other things to blame here
